Frequently Asked Questions

What is floral preservation?
Preservation is the process that extracts moisture from the flowers, retaining the natural shape. Colors are deepened and enhanced, leaving them as if they were still standing in water. Flowers are then displayed inside a virtually airtight environment, keeping the flowers protected from dust and other types of damage.
Is all preservation the same?
Suspended in Time™ has developed a revolutionary process of drying and preserving flowers that has been in use since 1997. We have not found any other method that compares to the superior results of Suspended in Time Blend™. The special industrial sealing process with each encasement helps keep out air and humidity, and UV domes on all frame and shadowbox encasements block 99% of all UV and overhead light rays. You just have to see our work to appreciate the quality and professional, yet loving care that goes into each masterpiece.
How long does floral preservation take?
We can have your flowers dried and encased in as little as five to seven days. Due to variables with other customers and their orders, we reserve the right to extend this time frame as needed. Rush orders may be available.
Do flowers change color and can all flowers be preserved?
The age and condition of the flowers at the time we receive them plays a role in how well they are preserved. Ask your florist that your flowers be as fresh as possible. Flowers that are received in poor condition can be replaced at a minimal charge.
Preservation will cause some color changes in your flowers. Some white flowers dry a creamy yellow color and some colors, especially reds, dry darker.
